Bloodstock Open Air and Hordes of Belial III announce Machine Head and The Rotted

With everyone heading to Download this weekend, it was only right that other UK festivals through out some announcements for when everyone returns – muddy and disheveled.

Scottish fest, Hordes of Belial III, revealed that extreme metal act, The Rotted,  will be joining the likes of Achren, Firebrand Super Rock, Zillah and Threshold Sicks on September 22 2012 at Beat Generator Live in Dundee.

With eight more acts still to be announced, this looks set to a memorable event! Keep an eue for updates through their Facebook page.

Today was also the day that Bloodstock Open Air unveiled their third and final headliner as (drum roll, please) Machine Head. The festival has been building up to this for months revealing clues to excite and keep fans guessing.

  • “They have Released 7 studio albums and sold over 2.4 MILLION”
  • “A Blind Man asked an Angel”
  • “There first UK appearance was 1994”
  • “The band are Currently on their 4th line-up (official)”

In an exciting twist, the band have offered fans the chance to choose the setlist for the Saturday night performance, to celebrate their 20th anniversary of Burn My Eyes.

Bloodstock ticket holders will be given the opportunity to vote for the five “Burn My Eyes” songs they most want to hear (details to follow).

Machine Head join Behemoth and Alice Cooper as the three main headliners and this is added to an impressive bill, including the likes of Sepultura, Testament, Dimmu Borgir, Nile, Black Dahlia Murder and recently confirmed acts, Savage Messiah and Flayed Disciple!
